How does a credit sale and partial repayment work?
Example only: a sample customer buys PHP 100 on credit. Record the credit sale, then record a PHP 40 repayment in the customer ledger. The outstanding balance is PHP 60 if there are no other entries. Review the ledger before accepting another credit sale.
How do I set up on a phone?
Open Slapsoil while online, create your workspace, and set its currency. Add a small sample catalog and test receiving stock and checkout. Install the PWA from your supported browser and confirm it opens offline before relying on it during a connection outage.
What happens if I clear browser storage?
Local workspace records can be lost. Export encrypted backups regularly and test restoring one before changing devices or clearing storage. Cloud Sync only provides another copy of records that have successfully synchronized; local-only records still need a backup.
How does another device get the workspace?
Use an exported workspace backup and restore, or enable optional Cloud Sync and complete setup on the other device while online. Devices do not automatically share browser storage, and local-only records are not available through cloud sync.
Is it free for small stores in the Philippines?
The local inventory and POS app is free, limited by device storage. Optional Cloud Sync has separate free and paid coverage. Slapsoil records payments but does not process card payments.
